A fundamental part of Kenzie's Gift is to offer expressive and creative therapies to families affected by cancer. It costs $125 per hour to provide a family or family member with a professional therapist who has the expertise and training to assist people at this traumatic time of their lives. Although each case is individual, the average number of therapy hours a family would need to be given is six. This amounts to $750 per family.

There are hundreds of families affected by cancer each year in NZ, all of whom would benefit from the professional support Kenzie's Gift can offer. This means thousands of dollars each year is needed just for therapy support with the day to day running of the charity over and above this.
